Refund & Return Policy

Overview

Due to the specialized and sensitive nature of our research-use-only chemicals and peptides, all sales at ResearchChemHQ are final once an order has been placed, except in the rare case of an error made by RCHQ.

Because our products are research-use-only materials that require careful handling, compliance, and quality control, we maintain a strict no-return and no-cancellation policy. This protects the integrity of our materials, our customers’ research, and our compliance standards.

Please carefully review your cart, shipping address, apartment or suite number, and payment details before completing checkout. Once an order has been submitted, we generally cannot modify, cancel, refund, or partially refund the order.

However, customer satisfaction remains important to us. In rare or specific situations, RCHQ may authorize a replacement, return, store credit, loyalty credit, or other resolution at our sole discretion.

Shipping Method

ResearchChemHQ currently ships domestic U.S. orders using FedEx 2Day® Shipping.

FedEx 2Day® typically delivers within 2 business days after the package has shipped. Delivery timelines begin once the package has been scanned and accepted by FedEx, not when the order is placed.

Orders over $500 USD qualify for Free FedEx 2Day® Shipping.

FedEx 2Day® Loyalty Guarantee

If your FedEx 2Day® order arrives later than 2 business days after shipment, RCHQ will issue $20 USD in loyalty points to your customer account.

To qualify:

  • The order must have shipped using FedEx 2Day®
  • The package must arrive later than 2 business days after FedEx acceptance
  • The delay must be reflected in FedEx tracking
  • The order must not be delayed due to an incorrect address, missing apartment or suite number, failed delivery attempt, weather event, carrier exception, holiday disruption, or another issue outside normal transit timing

This guarantee is issued as loyalty points only. It does not qualify as a refund, cash credit, shipping reimbursement, return authorization, or order cancellation.

When We May Accept Returns or Replacements

Damaged Orders

If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the damaged item
  • Clear photos of the outer packaging
  • Any relevant delivery details

We will review your claim and, if approved, may issue a replacement, store credit, loyalty credit, or other resolution at our sole discretion.

Undelivered Packages

If your package has not been delivered, RCHQ does not consider a package officially lost until it has been 14 days from the ship date without a delivery scan or final delivery update.

If FedEx tracking confirms that the package was lost, misdelivered, or otherwise unable to be delivered through no fault of the customer, RCHQ may reship your order or provide another resolution at our discretion.

Customers may be asked to contact FedEx directly and provide any available FedEx case number, claim number, or written confirmation before a resolution is approved.

Lost but “Delivered” Orders

If FedEx marks your order as Delivered, but you did not receive it, please contact FedEx directly and then notify RCHQ support with your order number and any FedEx case details.

If FedEx later confirms the package was lost or misdelivered, RCHQ may reship your order or provide another resolution at our discretion.

If FedEx confirms successful delivery to the address entered at checkout, RCHQ’s delivery obligation is considered fulfilled, and we cannot guarantee a replacement, refund, store credit, or loyalty credit.

Shipping Protection

Shipping Protection may cover certain cases of loss, damage, or theft in transit, subject to review and approval.

However, packages are not eligible for Shipping Protection when the issue is caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information entered by the customer.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Incorrect street address
  • Missing or incorrect apartment number
  • Missing or incorrect suite number
  • Wrong ZIP code
  • Incorrect recipient information
  • Inaccurate contact information
  • Any address error that prevents successful delivery

Orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address entered at checkout are considered the customer’s responsibility and are not eligible for refund, replacement, reshipment, store credit, loyalty credit, or Shipping Protection coverage.

When We Cannot Accept Returns or Replacements

What Is Not Eligible

RCHQ cannot accept returns, replacements, refunds, store credits, or loyalty credits for:

  • Requests made more than 24 hours after delivery for damaged packages
  • Products that have been opened, used, tampered with, or improperly stored
  • Orders where FedEx confirms successful delivery
  • Orders with an incorrect or incomplete shipping address entered by the customer
  • Orders missing an apartment, suite, or unit number required for delivery
  • Failed delivery attempts caused by customer unavailability
  • Refused packages
  • Delays caused by weather, holidays, carrier volume, or FedEx operational issues
  • Delays that do not involve confirmed loss or damage
  • Returns due to change of mind
  • Returns due to misunderstanding product use
  • Products purchased in violation of our Terms of Service
  • Any product intended or requested for non-research use

All products sold by ResearchChemHQ are strictly for laboratory, analytical, and scientific research use only.

Restocking Fee and Refunds

If a return is authorized by RCHQ:

  • A 20% restocking fee may apply
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Returned items must be inspected and approved before any refund or credit is issued
  • Refunds, when approved, are issued back to the original payment method when possible

Due to payment processor restrictions and the high-risk nature of research-use-only materials, refunds and partial refunds may be limited or unavailable depending on the payment method used.

Chargeback Policy

ResearchChemHQ takes fraud, unauthorized disputes, and chargebacks seriously.

Initiating an unauthorized or uncommunicated chargeback is a violation of these terms and may result in a permanent ban from future purchases.

Customers are expected to contact RCHQ support first so our team has the opportunity to review and resolve any issue.

If a chargeback is filed, RCHQ reserves the right to provide all supporting documentation to the payment processor, including:

  • Order details
  • Customer account information
  • Checkout records
  • Shipping and delivery confirmation
  • FedEx tracking history
  • Terms of Service acceptance
  • Communication history
  • Any applicable FedEx documentation

If a chargeback is reversed in RCHQ’s favor, we reserve the right to recover any additional fees, dispute costs, or legal expenses associated with the chargeback.
